The United States Embassy in Lomé has just announced this Sunday, September 12, 2021, the landing of the second donation from the United States Government of 117,000 doses of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine in Togo.

This second vaccine donation is part of the Biden-Harris administration’s overall effort to fight the COVID-19 pandemic, the embassy noted.

With this latest delivery, the United States has offered Togo a total of 305,370 doses of COVID-19 vaccine.

Indeed, 188,370 doses of the anti-Covid-19 vaccine, Pfizer-BioNTech, still a donation from the United States, landed in the Togolese capital, Lomé, on Sunday, August 22, 2021.

Ambassador Eric Stromayer therefore urged Togolese people to work on educating themselves and their loved ones as these vaccines are being used, especially on the importance of the vaccine and the protection it provides so that there is no reluctance to get vaccinated.

« Making an informed decision to get vaccinated against COVID-19 is the first step in helping to make the world a safer place because none of us are safe until we are all “, he added.
