The Togolese Authorities have decided to start administering the second dose of vaccine from next week, announced the government in a statement on Tuesday May 11, 2021.
Recently extended to all regions of the country, the covid-19 vaccination campaign in Togo will pass a new stage. The deployed teams will start administering the second dose from next week.
Operations will be facilitated in particular by the arrival, a few days ago, of new doses of Sinovac vaccine obtained via the Covax initiative.
Togo’s vaccination strategy remains the same, vaccinating as many people as possible in order to achieve herd immunity.
To date, more than 160,000 people have received a first dose, said the government.
