Togo and Turkey want to strengthen their police collaboration. The question was raised Monday in Ankara, between the Togolese Minister of Security, Yark Damehame and the Director General of Turkish Security, Mehmet Aktaş.
Discussions between the two personalities focused on an assessment of the joint work carried out by the two countries, and new avenues of collaboration for the future.
The Togolese delegation is made up of officials from the police, the gendarmerie and the Ministry of Civil Protection.
As a reminder, Ankara and Lomé have recently signed numerous bilateral agreements since the first visit of Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu to Faure Gnassingbé’s country in July 2020.
