Foreign Minister for Regional Integration and Togolese Abroad Prof Robert Dussey was hosted on Monday in Doha, by his Qatar counterpart Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani.
“Pleased to meet HE Robert Dussey , Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation & African Integration of Togo, in a fruitful discussion on strengthening bilateral relations. We expressed our aspirations to enhance our joint cooperation in various fields”, the host said.
“Congratulations to the government of Qatar and to you dearest friend Al Thani for the successful outcome of the peace agreement between the Chadian government and the political-military groups”, the Togolese replied on Twitter.
The Qatari diplomat who is also serving as Deputy Prime Minister met separately with Sudan’s Acting Foreign Minister Ali al-Sadiq, Angolan Minister of External Relations Tete Antonio, and Secretary-General of the International Organisation of La Francophonie (OIF) Louise Mushikiwabo.
These meetings happened on the sidelines of the signing ceremony of the Doha Peace Agreement and the Participation of Politico-Military Movements in the National, Inclusive, and Sovereign Dialogue in Chad.
