Politique de désenclavement


Le président Faure Gnassingbé a lancé vendredi les travaux de construction de deux ponts sur les rivières Kara et Koumongou. La cérémonie s’est déroulée sur les bords du Koumongou (préfecture de l’Oti-Sud, à 500 km de Lomé). Il avait à ses côtés le Premier ministre Komi Selom Klassou et plusieurs membres du gouvernement.

Les deux ouvrages (longs respectivement de 120 et 160 mètres) vont permettre de désenclaver de nombreux villages de la région.

Coût global du projet, 16 milliards de dollars financés par l’Etat et l’Agence japonaise de coopération (JICA). Durée des travaux, 39 mois.

Le gouvernement japonais, par l’intermédiaire de la JICA, est très actif au Togo en matière d’aide publique au développement. Il a financé dans le passé des projets d’assainissement en milieu rural et participe pour 15 milliards de Fcfa à la construction du nouveau port de pêche dont les travaux seront lancés dans quelques jours.

Tokyo a offert un aide de 6 milliards dans le cadre du Programme d’urgence de développement communautaire (PUDC).

Le Japon s’est également déclaré prêt à construire un Backbone  Lomé – Cinkassé afin de déployer l’internet haut débit sur l’ensemble du territoire par fibre optique.

Il faut afin signaler l’existence du ‘Kennedy Round’. Un projet original qui repose sur un principe simple : le riz et le blé offerts par le Japon au Togo sont commercialisés par l’Etat à des prix abordables et les recettes collectés permettent ainsi de financer des projets sociaux-économiques.
